Practice what you Preach

You know how after so long in life you are just able to regurgitate what you've always supposedly known?
  • Look both ways before you cross the street
  • Eat your vegetables
  • Carry your scissors a certain way (that honestly I don't remember)
How often do you actually eat every last green bean in your dinner?  OR better question, how often you actually put vegetables into your dinner.  After all those years of learning what you were supposed to believe and say yes to, we can repeat the phrase, but we don't do it.
I recently had the chance to really take a look at this.  I have been a teacher in my calling, I happily teach the children that they should study and pray- but was I doing those things?  Yes, I was, but not to the extent that I needed to.
As I read last night, I realized with such a firm knowledge that there is still so much to learn.  It isn't necessarily about knowing it all- but when situations come up, re-read and learn.  It is amazing what you can find when it is actually applicable. Its great, I just had to tell you.  I know it is hard, but make it work.
